Sophisticated and cynical, Detective Piet Van der Valk (Barry Foster) works the streets of Amsterdam in this classic British mystery series. Though Van der Valk loves high-brow culture and his French wife (Susan Travers), he's most at home amid the underbelly of the quaint city. Confronting Amsterdam's most hardened criminals, he uses unorthodox methods to thwart their various transgressions. Michael Latimer co-stars as Inspector Johnny Kroon.
