Rajaraman (Kamal Hassan) is a strong-arm thug whose parents believe that he's a doctor. While visiting his son, Rajaraman's father meets with an old friend, the dean of the medical college, and discovers the truth about Rajaraman. Feeling guilty for the shame he's caused his parents, Rajaraman enrolls in medical school. But can this hard-nosed gangster adjust to college life? Saran directs this remake of the Hindi comedy Munnabhai M.B.B.S.
