Famed film director Franco Zeffirelli provides the sets for this sterling 1992 Metropolitan Opera production of Verdi's "Falstaff," starring Ukranian-American bass Paul Plishka in the title role. Ace maestro James Levine conducts the stunning performance of Verdi's final opera -- adapted from Shakespeare's "The Merry Wives of Windsor" and parts of "Henry IV" -- which also stars Mirella Freni as Mrs. Alice Ford and Susan Graham as Meg Page.
