Verna: USO Girl

Paul Gallico's filmed play explores the camaraderie between a USO girl named Verna (Sissy Spacek) and an American soldier (William Hurt) stationed in Belgium during World War II. This play was produced for television and is part of the Broadway Theatre Archive. It's a wonderful trip to a bygone era with stellar performances from Hurt and Spacek.
