Malhar (Nana Patekar) is an aspiring actor and director who's obsessed with a multimillionaire's daughter, Apoorva (Madhuri Dixit). When Malhar asks Apoorva's father for permission to marry her, he accidentally kills the man, landing himself in jail. There, he learns to put his acting talent to criminal use as he dawns various disguises. When Apoorva's husband leaves her, Malhar finally has the chance to realize his romantic dreams.
