Four brothers who have followed wildly divergent paths in life reunite after years apart. Sebastian (Martin Landau), looking back on the reunion, sits in the shabby family home and recalls what occurred on that fateful day -- a day filled with bitter recriminations and old scores to settle, as each wants to claim a piece of their mother's estate before she dies.
