Warning Shadows

  (1923)
In a unique example of German Expressionism during the silent era, Arthur Robison's film tells the story of a jealous, wealthy count (Fritz Kortner) and his beautiful wife (Ruth Weyher), who attracts a gaggle of admirers. During a dinner party, a shadow player (Alexander Granach) illuminates the folly of their ways by playing out a silhouette scenario of betrayal and revenge. The video is made from a beautiful 35mm restoration.
