Novelist Robert (Nathan Fillion) and his wife (Chandra West) crave a quiet existence and move to a small town a world away from the dangers and hassles of metropolitan life. But Robert soon realizes that the more life changes, the more it stays the same. He also discovers that even the smallest town harbors its share of corruption and dirty secrets -- and that it's easy to get mixed up in the intrigue.
