A woman risks her life for true love in this 1935 remake of D.W. Griffith's 1922 silent film by the same name, a melodrama adapted from the stage play by Lottie Blair Parker. After being tricked into marriage with a cruel millionaire, a lowly servant girl (Rochelle Hudson) loses her baby and falls in love with a farmer's son (Henry Fonda). But when his family learns of her murky past, she's driven away to certain doom.
