West of the Pecos

After being wrongly accused of killing a stagecoach driver, Pecos Smith (Robert Mitchum) is hired by businessman Lamberth (Thurston Hall), who's en route to his Texas hacienda. Disguised as a man, Lamberth's daughter (Barbara Hale) is also along for the ride, and Pecos is smitten when she reveals her true gender. But villains aren't far behind, and the journey culminates in a shootout at the hacienda in this Western based on Zane Grey's novel.
