In this atmospheric chiller, 22-year-old beauty Elise (Britt Ekland) weds a wealthy, widowed writer (Hardy Kruger) whose conniving young son (Mark Lester) doesn't exactly take a shine to his new stepmom. As she develops a growing notion that Marcus may have had something to do with his birth mother's "accidental" death, the fiendish boy relishes, manipulates and fuels Elise's suspicions. The supporting cast includes Lilli Palmer.
