Anders Nilsson directs this tense Swedish drama that spins three stories about people menaced by violence and hate: a respected journalist in an abusive relationship, a "promiscuous" teenager shamed by her family and a club owner bullied by thugs. Winner of the Amnesty International Film Prize at the 2007 Berlin International Film Festival, Nilsson crafts a poignant portrait of three people who summon the courage to stand up to their tormentors.
