Bruce Simmons (Dylan McDermott), a double-whammy failure in both writing and real estate, is booted out of his apartment and sets up camp in an unsold mansion that houses a secret to a family slaughter. Simmons's imagination begins to run wild, conflating his fantasy of the terrifying murder -- as he reenacts it in writing -- with reality. Soon, he's unable to discern between the two worlds as they enmesh into one. Sharon Stone co-stars.
