While seeking refuge from a hurricane at a rundown inn, recently released ex-convict Michael (Lau Ching Wan) prepares to restart his criminal career. Despite his obnoxious behavior, kind innkeeper Judy (Ruby Wong) believes in Michael's goodness and tries to reform him. With her business on the brink of bankruptcy and her son without a father figure, Judy relies on hard work and honesty to keep her personal and professional life afloat.
