Originally filmed for Lifetime, this thriller begins with the murder of a controversial U.S. Senate candidate (Jonathan Farwell). Dana Sue Lacey (Marlee Matlin), his deaf campaign manager, is arrested and put on trial for the killing. Seeking a challenge (and some free publicity), undefeated defense attorney Ronnie Williams (Regina King) takes the case -- only to find Lacey hasn't been telling the whole truth.
