Whispers: An Elephant's Tale

This live-action Disney entry uses film of wild animals in their native African environs to chronicle the story of baby pachyderm Whispers, who gets separated from his mother after an encounter with poachers. Ostracized by a new herd, Whispers attaches himself to a grouchy surrogate mom who reluctantly takes the young elephant under her tusks. Angela Bassett, Anne Archer, Alice Ghostley, Betty White and Joan Rivers supply the animals' voices.
