Against the clash of armies (led by Generals Lee and Grant) during the horrendous Battle of the Wilderness, six lost, bedraggled soldiers (both Rebel and Yankee) share a campfire, food, camaraderie and a brief respite from the day's bloody carnage. As darkness falls, they confide in each other their hopes, fears and dreams. But with the dawn, the stage is set for a fatal confrontation.
 Parents strongly cautioned. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.
