Tasked with serving the elusive Commodore Russell P. Selby (Brandon Evans) with a subpoena, assistant state prosecutor Bruce Lane (George O'Brien) poses as crew member on Selby's yacht for a race across the Pacific in this classic adventure tale. But when the yacht is hit by a windjammer belonging to gun smuggler Capt. Morgan (William Hall), Lane and the yacht's snobby passengers find themselves in hot water.
