A strong first outing for director David Leland, this bittersweet British tale stars Emily Lloyd as 16-year-old Lynda Mansell, whose foul mouth and promiscuous behavior shocks her starchy seaside community of Brighton. But underneath her audacious façade beats the heart of a lonely, motherless teen who fills the void by embarking on a string of sexual escapades -- including an affair with her father's randy middle-aged friend (Tom Bell).
