Words for the Dying

  (1990)
Filmmaker Rob Nilsson's documentary chronicles the making of "Words for the Dying," the collaborative album of former Velvet Underground member John Cale and acclaimed artist Brian Eno, inspired by the works of poet Dylan Thomas. At once completely inspiring and undeniably unnerving, Nilsson's film captures the battle between Eno and Cale, as they clash over Eno's reluctance to allow cameras to witness his creative process.
