A literary classic is reinterpreted for the screen with grace and flourish. Robert Cavanah stars as the smoldering Heathcliff, a man who's always been in love with Catherine (Orla Brady), the feisty daughter of the kindly patriarch who welcomed him into the fold when he was just a little boy. Catherine would like to return Heathcliff's affections, but her practical side is attracted to a fantastically wealthy neighbor whom she agrees to marry.
