Yasukuni

For years, Japanese officials have honored the Yasukuni shrine, where a mysterious sword consecrates more than 2 million World War II heroes. But with many of these soldiers classified as war criminals, the shrine is awash in controversy. Director Ying Li, after shooting for more than 10 years, explores the site's legacy and follows the work of a 90-year-old bladesmith as he forges his final sword on the premises.
