On the run from a hit man, a small-time thief named Vicky (Ajay Devgun) hides out in a stranger's house and learns he's the spitting image of the man's dead son-in-law, Rohit. He also learns that Rohit's death drove the man's daughter, Neha (Madhuri Dixit), to the brink of insanity. In exchange for a place to hide, Vicky must pretend to be Rohit to help Neha heal -- but playing the hero has never been his strong suit.
