Yom Yom
(2001)|
In the second installment of Israeli director Amos Gitai's "City Trilogy" series, he dissects the turmoil of a man whose divided ancestry tests his loyalties. With a Jewish mother (Hanna Meron) and an Arab father (Yussuf Abu-Warda), Moshe (Moshe Ivgy) feels fundamentally rootless. But when a friend turned real estate developer swoops in to buy a prized piece of family land, it stirs emotions Moshe never knew he had.
