Sam Elliott plays real-life lawman and Wyatt Earp partner Bill Tilghman in this movie based on a true story. After facing down countless criminals, Tilghman makes a silent movie about his Wild West adventures. The success of that film boosts his reputation, but now Tilghman must face a new challenge: a rapidly changing West that boasts craftier criminals with better weaponry. Arliss Howard co-stars as Tilghman's nemesis, corrupt lawman Wiley.
