You See Me Laughin': The Last of the Hill Country Bluesmen
(2002)|
Director Mandy Stein captures the heart behind indie record label Fat Possum and its artists, including legendary bluesman R.L. Burnside and his pals, who, among a select few, have kept the music going in the remotest parts of Mississippi. Musicians Bono and Iggy Pop pay homage to them and other artists who've fanned the flames of the genre. The film also features performances from the 1970s and Junior's juke joint in Chulahoma.
