In a futuristic world where overcrowding has mandated a policy of zero population growth, it's against the law for humans to conceive children. That is, until one brave couple (Oliver Reed and Geraldine Chaplin) decides to risk their lives by having a baby. Thanks to nosy neighbors who grow attached to -- and ultimately jealous of -- the tiny infant, their secret isn't safe for long. But is there a way to keep their family intact?
