A young man (Rajit Kapoor), curious about the mother (Karishma Kapoor) he barely remembers, gets to know the people who were close to her. As these people talk to him, an intriguing story unfolds: His mother, a promising film actress, had been forced into marriage and then into divorce, leaving her son behind when she began a relationship with a member of royalty -- and before her untimely death.
