The three-hour tour that turned into years on a deserted island for the seven people aboard the S.S. Minnow provided three seasons of fun for TV audiences. In their attempts to get off the island, the intrepid Gilligan (Bob Denver), the Skipper (Alan Hale Jr.), Thurston Howell III (Jim Backus), "Lovey" Howell (Natalie Schafer), Ginger (Tina Louise), Mary Ann (Dawn Wells) and the Professor (Russell Johnson) get into one predicament after another.
