After the death of his father, a young medieval cooper -- conveniently known as Dennis Cooper (Michael Palin) -- journeys to town, where he's soon enlisted to hunt down and slay the treacherous Jabberwocky and become the unlikely savior of the kingdom. Monty Python alum Terry Gilliam, in his first solo outing as a feature director, combines irreverent humor with bizarre visuals in this splendidly goofy cult offering.
