Luke Wilson and his brothers Owen and Andrew may not be this century's answer to the Barrymores, but they do represent a new comedic dynasty in Hollywood. Born Dec. 21, 1971, in Dallas, middle brother Luke got his big break when a short film he collaborated on with his brothers and Wes Anderson caught the attention of director James L. Brooks. With Brooks's help, that movie became the full-length feature Bottle Rocket (1996), and the three Wilson boys soon set up housekeeping in Hollywood. A string of successful comedies followed for Wilson, including turns opposite Drew Barrymore in Home Fries (1997) and Best Men (1998). He also teamed up with Anderson and brother Owen again, first in Rushmore and then in The Royal Tenenbaums (2001).
Other hits for Wilson include Legally Blonde, the frat pack comedy Old School (with Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell) and The Family Stone.
