Known since 2004 as Dr. Eric Foreman on the Fox medical drama "House," Omar Epps was born July 23, 1973, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He honed his acting skills at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and at the New York High School for the Performing Arts.Epps quickly made his mark in Hollywood playing opposite gangsta rapper Tupac Shakur in 1992's Juice, a powerful drama about four Harlem teens. Other noteworthy films for Epps include director John Singleton's Higher Learning (1995), Scream 2 (1997), The Wood (1999), In Too Deep (with LL Cool J), Love and Basketball (2000), Alfie (2004) and Against the Ropes (costarring Meg Ryan).
Also a musician, Epps is a member of the rap group Wolfpak, which he formed with his brother in 1991.
