Agnes Moorehead
Agnes MooreheadBorn Dec. 6, 1900, in Clinton, Mass., Agnes Moorehead began her long showbiz career singing with an opera company before joining Orson Welles' troupe of radio actors in "The Mercury Theater on the Air."

Moorehead made her film debut in Citizen Kane (1941) and followed up with a meatier part in The Magnificent Ambersons (1942), which earned her the first of four Academy Award nominations. Yet despite numerous industry accolades and an impressive body of work, Moorehead will be forever linked to her Emmy-nominated role as Elizabeth Montgomery's meddling mother, Endora, on the supernatural sitcom "Bewitched" (1964-1972).
