Andy Garcia
Andy GarciaBorn in Cuba on April 12, 1956, Garcia moved with his family to Miami Beach when he was 5 years old. He became interested in acting during high school (when a bout with mononucleosis sidelined him from sports) and headed to Hollywood in 1981 after graduating from Florida International University.

Waiting tables while auditioning and trying his luck as a stand-up comic, Garcia got his break when he was cast as a gang member in the very first episode of "Hill Street Blues," which led to his first big-screen role in the baseball drama Blue Skies Again.

Garcia began to turn critics' heads with his work in 8 Million Ways to Die (1986) and Brian DePalma's The Untouchables (1987), and in 1991 received an Oscar nomination for his supporting role in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather: Part III. He's also known for his starring roles in Hero, When a Man Loves a Woman and Desperate Measures.
