Abundantly talented in the arts, Beverly D'Angelo worked as an illustrator (at Hanna-Barbera Studios) and singer (performing as both a folksinger and with her rock band Elephant) before she became an actress.Born Nov. 15, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio, and educated in Europe, D'Angelo left school at age 17 to pursue a career in the arts. Discovered by producer Gower Champion while singing in a Canadian coffeehouse, she soon found herself cast in his "Rockabye, Hamlet," which opened on Broadway in 1976. Three years later, she played the rebellious debutante in Milos Forman's Hair.
Although D'Angelo's acting career has often taken second place to her romantic life (she has children with Al Pacino), she's made a long list of successful films, including Coal Miner's Daughter, National Lampoon's Vacation and American History X. Small-screen appearances include a recurring role on "Entourage."
