Bradley Whitford
Bradley WhitfordBorn in Madison, Wis., on October 10, 1959, Bradley Whitford first became interested in acting as a high school student and committed to it fully by majoring in theatre at Wesleyan University and later getting a master's degree at Juilliard.

His first big-screen break was 1985's Dead as a Doorman, but he juggled both movie and theatre roles for years until supporting roles in big hits such as Presumed Innocent and Philadelphia finally got him noticed. Television gave him even more exposure (he played Norm Gardner in "NYPD Blue" and guest-starred in "ER's" critically acclaimed, award-winning episode "Love's Labour's Lost").

Eventually he was cast as White House Deputy Chief of Staff Josh Lyman in "The West Wing," a role that won him an Emmy in 2001. Whitford has also co-starred in Kate & Leopold (1998) and The Muse (1999).
