Actor Peter Fonda, Bridget's father, has called her the best actor in the family, and considering that the family in question includes not only Peter but two Oscar winners -- Bridget's grandfather Henry Fonda and aunt Jane Fonda -- that's high praise.Born Jan. 27, 1964, in Los Angeles, Fonda worked hard to learn her craft, studying at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. She began to make her mark in films with the riveting 1989 drama Scandal (the story of the real-life Profumo affair, which shook the British government in the early 1960s).
During the 1990s, Fonda turned in a string of critically acclaimed performances in movies such as The Godfather Part III, Singles, Single White Female (directed by Barbet Schroeder), Jackie Brown and A Simple Plan (playing opposite Bill Paxton).
