Carey Mulligan
An English actress whose luminous performances have drawn comparisons to a young Audrey Hepburn, Carey Mulligan was born May 28, 1985 in London. She landed her first acting job at 18, playing one of Keira Knightley's sisters in Pride & Prejudice and next appeared in the BBC miniseries Bleak House (2005).

Mulligan proved equally adept on stage, garnering rave reviews (and a Drama Desk Award nomination) for her Broadway debut in Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull." But it was her star-making turn as a British teen who falls for a debonair older man in the little-seen 2009 film An Education that propelled the actress onto critics' lists of the year's best performances.

For her earnest portrayal, Mulligan picked up Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild and Oscar nods. along with a BAFTA award, and promptly began to add higher-profile Hollywood projects to her résumé, including a sequel to 1987's Wall Street.
