Clifton Collins Jr.
Clifton Collins Jr.The grandson of character actor and frequent John Wayne comic sidekick Pedro Gonzalez-Gonzalez, Clifton Collins Jr. was born on June 16, 1970, in Los Angeles. His early career consisted of stereotypical roles as struggling working-class Latinos and urban thugs.

Working to break out of this typecasting, Collins eventually gained greater recognition in a role opposite Samuel L. Jackson in 1997's One Eight Seven. He went on to play a variety of characters in films including The Replacement Killers, The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit, Tigerland, Traffic and Mind Hunters.

Television work has included appearances on "NYPD Blue," "The Twilight Zone," "Resurrection Blvd." and "Alias." In 2005, Collins gave a critically acclaimed performance as the object of Truman Capote's obsession in the multiple Oscar-winning film Capote, and in 2006, he received an Emmy nod for his work on the FX series "Thief."
