One of the hottest young stars of the 1980s, Corey Feldman was born July 16, 1971, in Chatsworth, Calif. He wasted no time making his acting debut, appearing in commercials at the age of 3, doing spots on TV series and landing bit parts in such 1970s features as Time After Time. While still in his teens, he appeared in some of the most popular youth-oriented films of the '80s, including Gremlins, Stand by Me, The Goonies, The Lost Boys, License to Drive and Dream a Little Dream (with his frequent co-star Corey Haim).
Drug addiction and brushes with the law stalled his career some in the following decade; he emerged as a star of numerous low-budget productions but also appeared in the occasional higher-end feature such as Maverick (1994). In more recent years, Feldman has launched a side career as a recording artist and starred in a stage version of Fatal Attraction.
