A natural blond who launched her career as a redhead, Emma Stone was born in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Nov. 6, 1988. At 15, Stone created a PowerPoint presentation to persuade her parents to let her drop out of her all-girl Catholic high school and move to Los Angeles, where she was home-schooled to allow time for auditioning.By 2007, Stone had appeared on several television shows, including the short-lived drama "Drive." But it was her film debut in the blockbuster comedy Superbad (2007) that put her on the map with audiences. She followed that success with supporting turns in The House Bunny (2008) and Zombieland (2009).
Stone snagged a Golden Globe nomination with her first true leading role in the teen comedy Easy A (2010), a modern tale about teenage love inspired by the classic novel The Scarlet Letter.
