Frank Langella
A seasoned Broadway player with a trio of Tony Awards to his credit, Frank Langella was born in Bayonne, N.J., on Jan. 1, 1940. Tall and imposing with a forceful dramatic presence, he is often cast as a villain but has played his share of iconic characters as well, including Sherlock Holmes, Cyrano de Bergerac and Count Dracula.

Langella's roots in the theater world have added gravitas to some of his most memorable onscreen portrayals. In fact, his most acclaimed movie role -- a Golden Globe- and Oscar-nominated turn as former President Richard Nixon in Ron Howard's Frost/Nixon (2008) -- was a continuation of the character he created for the West End stage production that inspired the film.

Other notable films include Diary of a Mad Housewife (1970), which earned Langella his first Golden Globe nod; the political comedy Dave (1993); and the independent drama Starting Out in the Evening (2007).
