Born June 10, 1962, in Los Angeles, Gina Gershon attended Beverly Hills High School, where she graduated in 1980. She moved to the East Coast and attended Emerson College in Boston before transferring to New York University. Upon graduation, Gershon started her showbiz career as a dancer, appearing in The Cars' 1984 music video "Hello Again" and in the 1985 comedy Girls Just Want to Have Fun.Bigger roles arrived with Pretty in Pink, Red Heat, Cocktail and The Player (1992). Gershon achieved a cult following first on TV's "Melrose Place," then with her deliberately over-the-top performance as Cristal in 1995's infamous camp classic Showgirls. Since then, she's appeared in Bound, Palmetto, Face/Off, The Insider and Driven, as well as TV's "The Practice."
Founder of the New York theater group Naked Angels, Gershon also provides the voice of Catwoman on "The Batman" animated TV series.
