Holland Taylor
Holland TaylorAn Emmy Award-winning actress whose impressive résumé spans the worlds of television, film and theater, Holland Taylor was born Jan. 14, 1943, in Philadelphia and studied acting under legendary coach Stella Adler.

Taylor is best known for her TV work, most notably her role on "Bosom Buddies" (1980-82), in which she played Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari's caustic boss, Ruth Dunbar. Taylor's other small-screen turns include her Emmy-winning performance as Judge Roberta Kittleson on "The Practice" and her Emmy-nominated portrayal of the faultfinding, self-absorbed Evelyn Harper on "Two and a Half Men."

But Taylor's movie career is equally brisk, having appeared in critical and box-office successes such as Romancing the Stone (1984), She's Having a Baby (1988), To Die For (1995), Legally Blonde (2001) and The Wedding Date (2005).
