For her turn in 2009's Julie & Julia, she earned critical acclaim as the towering sister of Julia Child (portrayed by Meryl Streep).
On television, Lynch has racked up a number of memorable parts, topped off by her Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning role as a cutthroat cheerleading coach on the quirky hit "Glee." The openly gay actress also guest starred as a lesbian civil rights lawyer on "The L Word."
