John Leguizamo
John LeguizamoA multitalented character actor, John Leguizamo was born July 22, 1964, in Bogota, Colombia, and raised in the Queens section of New York City. He attended New York University (and the very last class of renowned acting coach Lee Strasberg), then went from stand-up comedy to an appearance on TV's then-hottest series, "Miami Vice," in 1984.

His film debut came with Mixed Blood in 1985, followed by Casualties of War, Regarding Henry and Hangin' with the Homeboys. In 1991, he launched the first of several award-winning one-man stage shows, "Mambo Mouth." Although cancelled after one season, his 1995 sketch comedy series "House of Buggin'" was a critical favorite.

Also acclaimed were his performances in To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar; Carlito's Way; Romeo + Juliet; Summer of Sam; and Moulin Rouge. In 2005, Leguizamo joined the cast of the top-rated TV drama "ER."
