Kate Walsh
Kate WalshActress Kate Walsh (born Oct. 13, 1967) was raised in San Jose, Calif., and Tucson, Ariz., and attended the University of Arizona. The red-headed beauty began her acting career in Chicago, where she worked onstage with the Piven Theatre Workshop and performed in the NPR radio play "Born Guilty."

In the 1990s, Walsh was cast in the indie films Normal Life and Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer 2. Her first notable TV appearance came in 1997 on "The Drew Carey Show," playing Drew's girlfriend Nicki. After roles on other TV series such as "Karen Sisco" and "CSI," Walsh finally found a bona fide hit: As Dr. Addison Montgomery on "Grey's Anatomy," she won raves, critical notice and her own spin-off series, "Private Practice," which hit the airwaves in late 2007.

Walsh has also appeared in the films Under the Tuscan Sun (2003), After the Sunset (2004) and Kicking & Screaming (2005).
