Born in Boulder, Colo., on Feb. 23, 1965, Kristin Davis landed a mix of film, theater and television roles until she found a permanent address on "Melrose Place" (1994-96) playing martini-sipping socialite Brooke Armstrong.A short stint on "Seinfeld" (1997) followed -- providing Davis with a memorable turn as one of Jerry's many girlfriends -- before the actress's star-making turn as prospective Upper East Side bride Charlotte York on "Sex and the City" (1998-2004), a fashionable character that earned her an Emmy nomination.
In the wake of the show's success, Davis found her niche in family-friendly fare on the big screen with The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lava Girl (2005) and Disney's remake of The Shaggy Dog (2006). She also provided the voice of Miss Spider on the animated program "Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends" (2004-06).
