Pierce Brosnan
Pierce BrosnanBorn May 16, 1953, in Navan, County Meath, Ireland, Pierce Brosnan saw his father leave the family before Pierce turned one, and his mother moved to London soon afterward. At the age of 20, Brosnan enrolled at the Drama Centre of London to get formal acting training.

After a series of roles in television and small films, Brosnan headed to America and landed the title role in the hit television series "Remington Steele" (1982-1987), playing the titular suave private investigator. Waiting for the chance to play Bond, Brosnan honed his comic chops playing the foil to Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire (1993).

He debuted as James Bond in 1995's GoldenEye and has played Agent 007 in three subsequent films. Brosnan has also worked with Barbra Streisand (The Mirror Has Two Faces), Tim Burton (Mars Attacks!), John Boorman (The Tailor of Panama) and an erupting volcano (Dante's Peak).
