Rani Mukherjee
Born March 21, 1978, in Bengal, Rani Mukherjee came from a family steeped in the Indian film scene. Her father is director Ram Mukherjee, and her cousin Kajol is one of the top Bollywood actresses.

Her first film, 1997's Raja Ki Ayegi Barrat, left critics deciding she was just another pretty face, but her charm and beauty soon won them and the public over. Mukherjee scored big hits with Ghulam and especially Kuch Kuch Hota Hai; for this third film appearance, she was voted Best Supporting Actress at India's 1998 Filmfare Awards.

She continues to model and appear in commercials while making several movies a year, some of the most notable being Bichhoo, Sometimes Happiness, Sometimes Sorrow, Calcutta Mail, The Youth, Hum Tum, Black and The Rising.
